Al-Quds Index ended today’s session rising by 0.09% or 0.48 point and closed at 517.99 points.
The general index increased by 0.11% or 0.31 point and closed at 274.42 points.
Total of 3.5 million shares were traded through 70 transactions at a turnover of $4 million. Shares of 25 companies participated in trading, 10 rose, 8 declined and 7 remained unchanged.
The top three gainers were Palestine Mortgage and Housing Corp which rose by 4.82%, Golden Wheat Mills PLC which increased by 4.17% and Nablus Surgical Center which added 4.41%.
On the other hand, the top three losers were Jerusalem Pharmaceuticals Co which plunged by 4.15%, Wataniya Palestine Mobile Telecommunications which lost 2.5% and The Arab Real Estate Co Ltd which shed 3.45%.
Al-Quds index rose today supported by banks sector which added 0.35% and services sector which increased by 0.17% while insurance sector declined by 0.35% followed by industrial sector which shed 0.25% and investment sector which plunged by 0.10%.
It is worth mentioning that Al-Quds Index plunged yesterday by 0.36% losing 1.88 points and closed at 517.51 points pressured by the investment sector which lost 0.75%. As for the general index, it plunged by 0.31% losing 0.87 point and closed at 274.11 points.
